Interdisciplinary Generalist Project Findings
The IGC has demonstrated ways to
- make interdisciplinary collaboration in medical education work and
recognize and confront pitfalls that threaten it;
- develop and empower community physicians as faculty and confront
challenges associated with the potential for overwhelming them; and
- integrate an innovative generalist curriculum into the larger curriculum
of a medical school and confront the potential for overburdening an already
crowded curriculum
